Six Hours Bandh by the Left Parties: Railway and Road service hampered

Bhubaneswar: Left parties, the members of CPI, CPI (M), CPIM(L) and Forward Block has called for a six hour bandh in several parts of Odisha. The protesters have blocked the railway tracks and roads for six hours from 6 A.M. to 12P.M. on 15 July. The congress party has come out in support of the protest observed by the Left parties.

Due to the bandh normal life has been disrupted in the state. The Left parties have observed this bandh against the unprecedented hike in the price of petrol, diesel, LPG has amd other essential items. The Left party workers have also blocked the roads within the city and requesting the public to cooperate with the bandh. Shops and business set ups  have been kept closed in different parts of the state. The train services have been disrupted.

The Left parties stated that the protest is being called against the autocratic ways of governance of both the centre and the state government. As a result of which the prices of almost all the essential commodities are up surging in an unprecedented amount. Therefore the common people are going through a hazardous time.

Notwithstanding that the bandh is being observed in various parts of the state, the state government has directed to all the district collectors to ensure that no essential services are disrupted, nor any official work have to be affected by this protest.
