Drivers, conductors and helpers working in the private buses demand health safety

Bhubaneswar: Demanding the due safety precautions and necessary steps by the Govt, the Odisha vehicle workers Union has started a strike at baramunda bus stand today. Drivers, conductors and helpers working in the private buses demand for the their health insurance and safety.  Government has agreed to the demands of the owners of the private buses as a result of which the government has relaxed the installments of the buses for last three months due to the lock down  all over the state as well as the nation. 

The workers of the private buses in Odisha are demanding safety insurance in policy worth 50 lakhs to be declared by the government if any of the bus workers get infected and dies by the Corona virus. They have put forth this demand  as they will be exposed to the infection of the covid 19 virus if the buss run on a regular basis all over the state and they will automatically come in contact with different people. The government mentioned that the demands of the Odisha vehicle workers Union is logical and legitimate and it will be taken on to consideration.
