JDBI welcomes Students of Science & Commerce by celebrating Fresher’s Party named ‘Fresher’s and Chill’

Kolkata: Spring this year is a cause of rejoice! After a span of two years J.D. Birla Institute welcomed the first year and second year students by celebrating a Fresher’s Party, named ‘Fresher’s and Chill’ held on the 5th of March 2022. This was the first time when both first and second year students attended the Fresher’s party together, due to the Covid restrictions and lockdown during the last two years. This event echoed the spirit of rejoice as students and teachers resumed offline classes and moved towards normalcy. The College was once again alive with students back on campus. To accommodate a large number of students across all Departments, the celebration was divided in two slots. Students came dressed in characters based on popular OTT Platforms, namely, Stranger Things, Friends and Emily in Paris. several fun games were orgenised on the occasion,, like, Blow the Balloon, Ping Pong and Throw the Ball. Several cultural events were organised by the seniors including dance, medley of songs and a skit. This event marked the beginning of another series of activities and events in the college.
