High COVID infection rate in Bhubaneswar due to traffic congestion: DMET

Bhubaneswar: “COVID Infection is on the rise in the state capital due to the high traffic congestion,” said DMET CBK Mohanty. “ We are focusing on the high infected areas to decrease the infection rate  Hopefully this will continue to decline in coming days.”

As per Dr. Mohanty mentioned, the Unlock regulations will be implemented if necessary. If the infection rate will move in increasing mode, the lockdown may continue. Government will take the right decision at right moment. If there will be any increasing rate of the infection, it will be taken as the third wave. This is a Pandemic and decision will be taken as per the current situation. As far as the medical facilities in the State is concerned, the AIIMS construction has been proposed in Sundergarh district in Odisha. The State Goverment had agreed to provide the necessary land and financial. The Centre is yet to give a final decision. AIIMs in Sundergarh will be greatly helpful to the people of Western Odisha. The Health Department had proposed to open the medical colleges in a balanced manner.
