Chief Minister praises Police, People, Sevayats & admin for smooth conduct of Rath Yatra 2021

Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik praises with a note to the Police, People, Sevayats & administration for the smooth conduct of the Rath Yatra 2021. Amid of the ongoing Pandemic, everyone involved in the process had contributed from their respective core values to conduct it at best. 

Thanking the Sevayats, CM mentioned that, Since the process beginning, the Sevayats involved themselves to reach the deities to the Sri-Gundicha Temple with all peace & discipline . 

Likewise, CM express his gratitude towards the Srimandira Temple administration, Puri District administration, Police administration and all the respective departments of the State administration to work with sync to conduct the Rathyatra.

Over all, Cm Sri Patnaik thanks the people of the Puri and the region who showed controlled their emotions, maintained discipline  and gave respect to the administration by staying at home to conduct the RathYatra is really an example for others. 

Lord Balabhadra’s Taladhwaja and Devi Subhadra’s Darpadalana, Lord Jagannath in His Nandigosha arrived at Gundicha temple at around 5.40 pm. All three chariots are now parked at Saradha Bali in front of the Sri-Gundicha temple.

This year, Rath Yatra is happening in Puri without the participation of devotees with strict adherence to COVID guidelines, for the second consecutive years.

The seveyats, paricipated in the rituals only after being fully vaccainated and testing negative for COVID. Puri town is under curfew since 8 pm on July 11. The prohibitory order will remain in force 8 pm on July 13.
