Odisha Governor Launches Virtual Libraty of Odia Literature

Bhubaneswar:  Odisha Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal had launched a website dedicated to heritage literature of Odia language on the occasion of Niladri Bije on Friday , 23 July. The website www.recite.world  is completely dedicated to the public as expressed by the Governor. Recite World is a programme launched by Udaygiri Foundation Trust.

Prof Ganeshi Lal said Odia is a lively, pleasant and witty language and this website will help the youth understand and feel it better.

Mo School Abhijan Chairman Sushmita Bagchi was present in the occasion as a speaker. She said, “Odisha people are present in different corners of globe. Through the audio books which will be available on this website, Odia language and literature will get a global reach. It will be easily accessible and by listening to Odia literature, the people can improve and correct their style of writings and pronunciations.”

According to Udaygiri Foundation Chairman and Recite World Programme Lead JP Jagdev, “www.recite.world is a web/mobile application on which the past and present literary works of Odia literature will be made available to the public without any cost so that they can easily access anytime anywhere. The contents will be available in dramatised audio book formats along with a simultaneous showing of the original texts. With this new format the young listeners or users can become familiar with both the written texts and their proper pronunciations”.

Executive Director, Eastern Media Ltd, Tanaya Patnaik also attended the virtual programme.

In the first phase, the foundation has selected to provide 50 short stories from noted writers like Fakir Mohan Senapati, Godabarisha Mahapatra, Laxmikanta Mahapatra, Bhagabati Charana Panigrahi, Surendra Mohanty and Akhila Mohana Pattnaik.
