IMD Predicts Heavy Rainfall And Thunderstorm Over Coming 5 Days in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The IMD has predicted heavy rainfall and thunderstorm along with hail for various districts in Odisha for the next five days. The weather department has also issued yellow warnings for the districts that would be affected.

According to the Meteorological department, on January 11 and 12, districts such as Bargarh, Bolangir, Sonepur, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Sundergarh and Deogarh will experience heavy to moderate rainfall on 11 & 12 January.

Similarly, there is going to be heavy rainfall is in Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Boudh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, and Nayagarh districts on 12 and 13 January.

On January 13 and 14, heavy rainfall is being expected for districts like Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Nayagarh and Kandhamal.

The Met has asserted that there will be a minimum temperature (night temperature) rise by 2 to 3 degrees in the coming two days. Other than that no major changes in weather will be noticed hereafter in the districts of Odisha.

The IMD has issued yellow warnings to all the forenamed districts. The Special Relief Commissioner has instructed Collectors of the concerned districts to be well prepared for the upcoming situation.
