Govt Employees in Odisha Get 3 Days Special Casual Leave To Vote for Panchayat Polls

Bhubaneswar: All principal secretaries, heads of departments and Collectors of all districts, the Panchayati Raj and DW Department have been instructed to approve Special Casual Leave to the employees for casting vote at their concerned constituencies on the date of the poll.
This Special Casual Leave will be permitted for a total period of three days – one day before the poll, on the date of the poll and one day after the poll.
As per the instructions by the government, the three days leave may be considered as Special Casual Leave along with normal casual leave permissible to them during the year 2022.  You take this leave a written application from the employees will be acceptable to make this evident on their enrolment in a particular Gram Panchayati
The concerned Head of Offices permitting the Special Casual Leave to their employees concerning upcoming Panchayat polls will have to decide the number of days for this Special Casual Leave. At the same time, it should not exceed more than three days to be precise. The main motto behind this step is to not restrain the employees from exercising their franchise and to make it happen they should be provided with all possible facilities. The provision of letting the staff go without any disadvantage to the official work should be interior ended liberally stated by the letter.
