BMC marked Containment Zone in Bhubaneswar Following Surge in COVID Cases

Bhubaneswar: The BMC (Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation) has enforced micro – containment restrictions in two apartment areas in Bhubaneswar after multiple infections were detected at the locality as per reports.

People inhabiting in these places have been asked to stay at home. Outsiders have been restricted to enter within the containment outsiders zones.

The restrictions have been imposed at HIG-II-61, Satyasai Enclave near Khandagiri and Block –B of Lord Gunjan Apartment at Rasulgarh in the city.Both the places will remain under the active surveillance of the civic body and police.

Ban has been imposed on the entry of outsiders into the restricted zones. Only authorised officials are allowed to enter into the containment area of any emergency services are to be provided.

All Government and private institutions in the surounded area  will remain closed as per the notification by the BMC. The BMC will provide the required  essential services and necessary medical facilities to the people in the restricted areas through authorised vendors, BMC sources  from BMC noted.

After the detection of multiple cases in the locality, the BMC has also expediated the testing and surveillance drive in the area.

The residents in the entire apartments have been instructed to follow the Covid-19 appropriate behaviour and cooperate with the rapid action team.
